BUILDING COSTING ESTIMATE

The cost of my buildings vary significantly due to their specifications. Also my use of reclaimed materials and objects adds to the non-standard nature of my process.

As a result I tailor each building to fit each individual clients budget and requirements.

As a ballpark a 5m x 2.5m trailer cabin, (slightly bigger than a shepherds hut) could range anywhere from £25,000 - £55,000, depending on the spec, finish and location.

So I prefer to ask clients what they require, and then want to spend. I then work out what they can afford.

This starts with a free and informal dialogue to ascertain viability.

If after that a client decides they would like to progress with a commission I require a deposit of £2000.

This initial payment covers my time @ £30/hour in which we will have a face to face design meeting and site visit to help me understand the requirements.
I then create an initial design and full costing, including an exact model and specification.

Should the client require changes and tweaks to the design those can occur and will be charged at an hourly rate once the initial deposit has been used up.

To move on to the build stage, I require a payment for 80% of the total estimated cost of the build, with a further 15% being due on delivery.

The final 5% is not due until 1 month after delivery and includes a day of on site snagging.
